 We made Partner on Twitch! I have to start here, but let me give you a little back story, because I am sure some folks are confused. I have always and only been a Twitch affiliate, because Twitch, up until the announcement at Twitchcon, has not allowed partners to stream on both YouTube while also streaming on Twitch. However, with the change announced at TwitchCon that now allows partners to stream on both, I applied for Twitch Partner on 10/21, and I was accepted officially on 11/2! It’s worth watching the live stream for the EVA 02 build, because you can see it happen live when the Twitch staff raided me, and we promptly tried to ban them…. but we then found out it was because the Twitch staff wanted to tell me I was officially accepted! It was very cool and a lot of fun, and I am excited for the new chapter in Twitch streaming! We aren’t done yet, as now is the drive to Partner Plus, which required 350 Tier 1 Subs per month over the next three months. We had some incredible builds happen this week! We tried to play Alan Wake 2, and we even gave away a PC on stream! Not to mention the aforementioned Twitch Raid by Twitch staff that had us worried we were being taken over by our AI bot overlords. Featuring the special edition Starfield CPU and GPU from team Red, this build not only gave us a chance to show off this epic loot crate, but also build a worthy PC that showcased these epic parts, as well as this beautiful new case from the team at Hyte. My name is Brenda Robey I am indeed Robey’s wife of 20 years – they call me Mrs. Robeytech! I joined the Robeytech team in July of 2023, so I am new to the team. Though I come from the world of secondary education as a previous junior high and high school English teacher of 12 years, I am a gamer all the same. I play a lot of logic games, puzzle games, and mystery stories on my Nintendo DS and phone. My passion for these kinds of games began when I completed the first three Professor Layton stories, and I was hooked on solving logic puzzles for quick gratification! My favorite game to date has to be the Professor Layton and the Curious Village adventure game. I think this game was the first to really hook me! For Robeytech, I work as a project manager, and I handle any tasks Robey gives me to keep quality content coming your way, including working with the writers and editing the Robeytech Insider on a weekly basis! I am most excited about Robeytech making partner with Twitch – a major deal! I help Robey in raising our two teenagers, Aaron who is 14, and Maddie who is 16. I adore our three – yes, three – dogs, and love hiking in the great Pacific Northwest outdoors.
